The state Supreme Court ruled that voters in Florida will have a chance this November to enshrine abortion access until fetal viability — around 24-28 weeks of pregnancy — in the state constitution. However, before abortion rights appear on Florida ballots in November, a 6-week - often before women know they’re pregnant - ban on the procedure will take effect on May 1.
